About
"Football (Soccer) was a huge part of my life growing up. For the past 6 years I have coached teams of varying levels and completed my FFA Youth C Licence. My passion is not only for coaching technique, but also for developing the adaptive coping skills of players necessary for training, trials and games. I have recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Psychological Science and intend to pursue further Psychology studies to better understand the relationship between player wellbeing and performance outcomes. I believe progress can be measured, not only using the 'eye test', but also through statistics, hence the name, xG."

Soccer HERO Program
Psychological Capital comprising the positive psychological resources of Hope, Efficacy Resilience and Optimism (aka 'HERO') has been studied in organisational psychology (including sporting contexts) for the past two decades, where it has been found to be a predictor of individual and team wellbeing and performance outcomes. As part of her doctoral studies, psychologist Dr Jules Finch and her academic supervisors were the first research team to empirically examine Psychological Capital in Australian youth. Their findings demonstrated positive relationships between HERO and subjective well being and, more pertinently, that HERO can be developed in young people

xG's soccer programs incorporate development of players' HERO capabilities specific to the context of football.
